Shelby has been a great asset since joining the team at Canmore Veterinary in early 2020. Growing up on the family farm east of Edmonton alongside horses, dogs and cats contributed to her early passion for animals. She decided to take that passion further by graduating with a Veterinary Medical Assistant Diploma at Lakeland College in Vermillion.  Now she helps in many areas which include assisting our technicians with their nursing duties, caring for our boarding and daycare pets, client care and assisting our doctors to make sure appointments run smoothly. The best part of Shelby’s job is; “Being able to provide care for our client’s pets and to work with animals.” She misses competing in all around horse events in the Edmonton area, however she is looking forward to adopting a pet in her new Canmore home, summer hiking and spending time with family.
